
An up-and-coming talent to watch, Swedish soprano Elin Eriksson completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at PiteƄ School of Music and graduated from Malmƶ Opera Academy in the Spring of 2022.
As a part of her education at Malmƶ Opera Academy, Elin debuted 2022 as Berta in Rossiniās Il Barbieri di Siviglia at Malmƶ Opera. She has also debuted roles as Erste Dame and Pamina in Die Zauberflƶte, Sill-Maja in Det stora ovƤsendet by Rickard Sƶderberg, The Countess in J. Straussā Wienerblut at VƤtteroperetten and as MimƬ in Pucciniās La bohĆØme with Malmƶ Opera. During the spring of 2025 she is revisiting the role of MimƬ at Norrlandsoperan. In addition to this Elin has a vested interest in contemporary music and has premiered both newly written operas and chamber works.
In the fall of 2023, she returned to Malmƶ Opera to premiere the main role Irene Adler in the newly written opera Sherlock och SĆ„ngerskan by Lars Ljungberg – a role she will revisit in the fall of 2025. This summer, Elin will make her debut as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with SkĆ„nska Operan.
Beyond the opera repertoire Elin is also well versed and sought after on the concert stages. She has a long list of orchestral and oratorio works, where Berliozās Les nuits dāĆ©tĆ©, Larssonās FƶrklƤdd gud and Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem are favorite works. 2024 she sang Poulencās Gloria with the Malmƶ Opera Chorus and Orchestra.
Elin has received several scholarships for her voice and artistry, notable among them are the Swedish Royal Academy of Music, Lasse Lƶnndahl, Operakonstens vƤnner i SkƄne and Kristina Nilsson Society.
