The Soloists of Saint Erik (Sankt Eriksolisterna) is a Swedish vocal quartet recently founded. Four soloists have come together with a clear focus on soloistic ensemble singing, both as an a capella quartet as well as in concert halls with leading orchestras.
They have already made success in Sweden singing solo parts in Requiem by Mozart with Royal philharmonic orchestra in the Stockholm Concert hall (2017), c-minor mass together with conductor Ragnar Bohlin, Nordic Chamber Orchestra and Eric Ericson Chamber Choir, the Beethoven 9th Symphony with conductor Jaime Mártin and Gävle symphony orchestra (2016) among several masses by Haydn with important solo ensemble parts.
In march 2016 they had their Spanish debut in Palacio de Festivals Cantabria where they performed the c-minor mass by Mozart also with great success. In summer 2017 they were invited to participate at Ton Koopman’s festival Itinéraire Baroque Périgord France, singing Italian madrigals, reviewers from all over Europe were overwelmed. The members of the quartet are each one a soloist in great demand in the major church musical works, premiére perfomances and in operas in Sweden as well as abroad. Together they give the solo ensemble parts in the repertoire mentioned above a new dimension. Not only as soloists, but also with their careful and common interpretation of the ensemble parts.
