Richard Hamrin is a baritone who makes great impressions with his interpretations and vocal qualities. He has a wide repertoire and has been awarded several prizes and scholarships from, for example, Drottningholm Court Theatre and The Royal Academy of Music.
In 2016 Richard was reinvited to the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra and in 2017 he will once again sing at tha Vadstena Academy. In the spring of 2018 he will take part in Wermland Opera’s production of Fledermaus where he will sing the part of Orlofsky.
In the season of 2011/2012 Richard Hamrin sang Morales in Carmen at the Royal Opera in Stockholm and during the same season he also did Papageno in Die Zauberflöte at Ulriksdal Theatre and also in Basel.
Hamrin, who grew up in Gothenburg, performed the part of Alfio in a concert performance of Cavalleria Rusticana with Norrköping Symphony Orchestra and sang the Li Si in the premiere of Son of heaven, an opera by Moto Osada, at Vadstena Academy 2015. At the Drottningholm Court Theatre Richard has sung Delfa in Il Giasonne and Il Conte Robinsson in Il matrimonio segreto, both directed by Deda Christina Colonna. He has also sung at Folkoperan, Dalhalla Opera, Opera på Skäret and Confidencen.
