Joanna Natalia Ślusarczyk is a highly appreciated and awarded Polish conductor with an exciting future. She holds the has conducted in Poland and in the United States, Russia, Israel, Norway, Iceland, Portugal, France, Great Britain, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, and in the Ukraine.
In the summer of 2019, she participated at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana Festival in Siena, Italy, where she was selected by maestro Daniele Gatti and Luciano Acocella to conduct at the Final Concert, and she was awarded the Main Prize of Rotary Club Siena. In April 2019 she won international auditions with Óbudai Danubia Zenekar/Danubia Orchestra Óbuda and was selected to the Mentoring Program with Peter Eötvös for 2020/2021 organised by Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation in Budapest, Hungary.
Ślusarczyk is the Conductor-in-Residence at the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice, Poland in the 2018-2019 season and became the winner of the Second Prize in the International Conducting Competition ”Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest” in Romania in 2018. She was the winner of the Third Prize at the ”First European Union International Conducting Competition” in Sofia/Pazardzik, Bulgaria in January 2018. The same year, she won the First Prize at the ”London Classical Soloists Conducting Competition” in London, Great Britain and was also awarded a Special Mention at ”The BMW International Conducting Masterclass and Competition” in Portugal (April 2018).
In April 2019 Joanna Natalia Ślusarczyk received the Main Prize of the Krakow County for Outstanding Artistic
Achievements. Majoring in Symphonic and Opera Conducting in the class of maestro Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, she graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Katowice, where she is currently working on her D.M.A. She also graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Krakow.
