Göran Eliasson is Swedish opera singer, with a rich tenor voice. He has sung at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, at the Aix-en-Provence festival, the operas in Cologne, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Malmö, Dalhalla, at the Stockholm-based Folkoperan and also at Norrland Opera.
Eliasson has appeared with conductors such as Simon Rattle, Kirill Petrenko, Antonio Pappano, Adam Fischer and Vladimir Jurowski. Eliasson is the Artistic advisor for Atlas Artists.
Together with his spouse, world famous contralto Anna Larsson, Eliasson runs the Vattnäs Concert Barn in Dalecarlia, Sweden. Here, the highly productive couple have produced operas in various chamber formats, combined with concerts and chamber music sessions during the summer weeks in July. In Vattnäs, Eliasson has sung the lead role in Mats Larsson Gothe’s opera about Jussi Björling – Silverfågeln (The Silver Bird).
In recent years, Eliasson has also acted as artistic director of Dalhalla Opera, under the productions of Das Rheingold, Turandot and Carmen. In May 2017, Göran Eliasson and Anna Larsson Jussi together received the Björling Scholarship.
